Paul has over 10 years of experience in Venture Capital/Private Equity fund management and he has been with UOBVM since 2000. As Executive Director (Investment), he is responsible for fundraising, deal sourcing, investment valuation, structuring and divestments. Paul has served on the board of several public listed companies and private companies in the ASEAN and China region including China XLX Fertiliser Limited (SGX), China Energy Limited (SGX), Unionmet (Singapore) Limited (SGX) and AA Group Holdings Limited (SGX).

Prior to joining UOBVM, Paul worked for Mizuho Financial Group / Fuji Bank Limited from 1997 to 2000 providing corporate and commercial banking services to companies in Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore. Before that, he spent 2 years with DBS Group’s corporate and commercial lending for Singapore companies.

Paul graduated with honours from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business (Financial Analysis). He is also a CFA charterholder since 1999. Paul is conversant in Chinese, Hokkien and Cantonese.
