Mark has over 14 years of experience in Venture Capital/Private Equity fund management in the ASEAN and China region and has been with UOBVM since 1996. As Executive Director, he is responsible for fund raising, deal sourcing, investment into good companies, monitoring and divestment. He has served on the board of public listed and private companies such as Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, Mermaid Maritime, Consciencefood Holding, Sunvic Chemical, Tiong Woon Corporation and many others.

Prior to joining UOBVM, he spent 6 years in corporate finance, working for Smith Barney Shearson, HG Asia (Singapore) Pte Ltd and N M Rothschild & Sons (Singapore) Ltd, where he advised clients in Asia and China on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, equity fund raising and initial public offerings. Mark started his career in the audit division of Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants in New Zealand.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He is conversant in Chinese and Cantonese.
