LGC Wireless Named
A Red Herring 100 Company
Award recognizes 100 private companies in North America that drive
the technology industry's future
Belmont, California, 11 May 2005
LGC Wireless,
a market leader in in-building wireless networking solutions, today
announced that it has been named one of the Red Herring 100 Private
Companies of North America . The Red Herring 100 sets the standard
as the industry's definitive list of private technology companies
impacting the marketplace. Having successfully completed a rigorous
selection process weighted to reflect the reality of survival in
today's challenging marketplace, LGC Wireless was recognized by
Red Herring editors as highly qualified to make a lasting impact
on the industry.
"Five years after the dot-com bubble burst, innovation and
entrepreneurship are thriving. The companies on this list are proof," said
Red Herring editor-in-chief Joel Dreyfuss.
LGC has showed that their long-term vision and focus on business
fundamentals were critical to their prevailing against the worst
downturn in telecom history. The company's focus on key wireless
customers maintained momentum during the recession without a down
year, and its decision to launch a brand new product line, InterReach® Unison,
during the downturn resulted in their current growth rate of three
times that of the industry segment. LGC has seen success with the
top tier U.S. carriers translate into even higher growth in European,
Asian, and Latin America markets.
"We are extremely pleased that Red Herring has named LGC
Wireless to its prestigious list of the top 100 private technology
companies," said Ian Sugarbroad, president and CEO of LGC
Wireless. "This is yet another independent recognition of
LGC as both the market leader in in-building wireless and the leading
innovator in the space."
Red Herring's editorial staff rigorously evaluated more than 900
private companies through a careful analysis of financial data
and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution
of strategy, and dedication to research and development. Red Herring
100 companies will be presenting their business model and strategy
at the Red Herring Spring conference. Red Herring Spring will take
place May 17-19 at the Monterey Plaza Hotel in Monterey , California.
